The repetitive office jobs, done for you.

I find the work that is eating someone's week, the copying, the retyping, the same document filled in over and over, and I build something simple that does it instead.

What I mean

The kind of thing worth looking at

If any of these sound like your place, there is probably something here worth an hour.

The arithmetic

First we work out what it is costing you

Not the software, the job itself. Say one person spends three quarters of an hour, five times a week, moving information from one place to another.

Worked example
45 minutes, 5 times a week3.75 hrs/wk
Over 52 weeks195 hrs/yr
At €20 an hour€3,900
A year of someone's time€3,900

Then a fixed price to fix it, written down before you commit to anything. No hourly rates and no open ended bills.

Being straight about it. Hours saved only count for something if they go somewhere useful. Sometimes the real gain is quotes going out the same day instead of next week, or a mistake that stops happening, or you getting your evenings back. Part of my job is telling you which one it actually is, and telling you when it is none of them.
How it works

Three steps, and the first one is free

No obligation at any point, and nothing to prepare before I arrive.

  1. I call out to you

An hour. I sit with whoever actually does the job and watch how it is really done, not how it is supposed to be done.

  2. You get a straight answer

What it is costing you now, what could be automated and what could not. If you would be better off using something you already pay for, I will say so.

  3. A fixed price, in writing

Two pages. What I would build, what it costs, what changes. Nothing goes out to your customers without one of your own people approving it first.

Who you would be dealing with

Me, start to finish

There is no team here and no account manager. The person who sits down with you is the person who builds the thing and the person who answers the phone afterwards.

I have spent five years in tech improving the way work gets done inside businesses, on top of a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Data Science, both first class honours. The qualifications matter less than the habit they gave me, which is looking closely at how a job is actually done and finding the parts of it a computer should be doing instead.
